Teleflex wanted to turn real patient outcomes into a scalable growth channel by enabling peer-to-peer conversations between UroLift patients and prospects. To make this work, they needed a system that could coordinate ambassadors, manage interactions, and operate entirely within their existing tools. RapidDev stepped in to design and build a platform that could support this model end to end while keeping the experience simple for an older audience.

About
Teleflex, the company behind UroLift — a minimally invasive BPH treatment for men — wanted to turn satisfied elderly patients into compensated brand ambassadors who share their stories and connect with prospective patients through peer-to-peer calls. They needed a platform to manage the entire lifecycle: onboarding, scheduling, communications, and tracking at scale. They turned to RapidDev to build it.
The Challenge
What sounds simple on the surface carried real complexity beneath it: Scheduling peer-to-peer calls within existing tools. Ambassadors needed to offer scheduled calls to prospective patients through Teleflex's existing Calendly subscription. But Calendly's subscription tiers, user-group limitations, and permission structures made it unclear whether a workable integration was even possible without a costly plan upgrade.Email at scale without adding new vendors. Teleflex required all communications to run through HubSpot — not a dedicated email service. HubSpot's CRM-first architecture made using it as a transactional email engine a non-trivial engineering challenge.
No new subscriptions, no new tools. Every feature had to be built on top of what Teleflex was already paying for. This eliminated easier out-of-the-box paths and demanded creative engineering within existing ecosystems.A sensitive audience. The end users — elderly men dealing with a urological condition — required a platform that was simple, trustworthy, and friction-free. No room for clunky UX or confusing flows.
The Solution
RapidDev built a custom ambassador management platform wired entirely into Teleflex's existing tool stack. The system handles the full lifecycle — recruiting satisfied UroLift patients, onboarding them as compensated ambassadors, and connecting them with prospective patients through scheduled calls. Every touchpoint from invitations to payment notifications is automated and manageable without technical overhead.
For scheduling, RapidDev reverse-engineered Calendly's subscription constraints and built an integration path that kept Teleflex on their current plan — no upgrade required. Ambassador availability, booking, and confirmation flows all run within the existing plan's limits.
For email, RapidDev integrated HubSpot as the primary sending engine. All outbound communications — transactional and lifecycle — route through HubSpot, giving Teleflex full visibility into every message directly inside the CRM they already use daily.
