About

FundingDesk was founded by brokers, lenders, and engineers who experienced the flaws of traditional lending firsthand. Instead of adding a generic chatbot to legacy software, they built an AI-native platform designed around real commercial deal flow. Its approach is operator-led, borrower-first, and powered by AI trained specifically for commercial lending. It also prioritizes essential infrastructure such as document parsing, audit trails, and role-based access control. The platform connects brokers, borrowers, loan processors, and lenders while automating applications, loan matching, offer collection, and document handling.

The Challenge

The commercial loan process was slowed by complex applications, manual document review, and inefficient lender matching. These bottlenecks increased errors and labor costs, limited financing options, delayed closings by up to 90 days, and weakened borrower trust.

Each of these directly inflated the 90-day closing timeline, raised labor costs, and eroded borrower trust.

The Solution

FundingDesk addressed each bottleneck with a targeted feature:

AI Voice-to-Voice Agent for Borrowers 

Instead of filling out a form, borrowers have a 15-minute casual conversation with a voice agent that asks about property details, loan type, and loan amount. The application is then auto-generated for review; borrowers can also build one manually. It resulted in higher application completion rates and faster intake. Removing form friction reduces abandonment and accelerates the top of the funnel - more qualified deals entering the pipeline with less borrower effort.

AI Document Processing and Analysis 

When a broker opens an application, they see an AI-generated report on the borrower's submitted documents - an overall summary, credit report, credit-vs-debit breakdown, and document analytics drawn from bank statements, credit scores, and property records, which resulted in dramatically shorter underwriting review. Hours of manual document reading collapse into an instant, structured assessment, cutting processing costs and shrinking the closing timeline.

AI Lender Matching 

When ready to assign a lender, brokers can pull from existing system lenders or click "Fetch Lenders" to surface AI-matched options, with full lender fields and AI-sourced data displayed. As a result, more deal options and faster time-to-offer. Broader, data-driven matching increases the probability of closing and improves terms for borrowers without relying on a broker's personal network.

Broker AI Assistant 

Brokers can open a conversation with an assistant to ask about specific application details, status, progress, missing data, or reminders, which reduces administrative overhead and fewer stalled deals. Instant answers on status and missing items keep pipelines moving and free brokers to focus on high-value relationship work.
