Anchorpest

Anchorpest partnered with RapidDev to turn organic search from a stagnant channel into the company's primary source of new customers. The goal was to reduce reliance on paid ads, build a defensible presence across every service area, and create a content system that captures pest-related demand at scale without ongoing manual effort.

About

Anchorpest is a residential and commercial pest control provider serving Manchester and surrounding service areas. The company offers a full range of treatments, from rodent and termite control to seasonal invader and parasite prevention, with a strong focus on pet-safe methods, transparent pricing, and recurring service plans. Anchorpest competes in a highly localized, trust-driven market where homeowners typically search with urgent, specific intent.

The Challenge

When the engagement began in August 2025, Anchorpest was nearly invisible in organic search. The site was generating fewer than 250 weekly visits from Google, almost all of it landing on two pages. There was no system in place to attract new traffic, no way to measure which channels were producing actual leads, and the business was leaning heavily on a single paid ad campaign in Manchester that wasn't building any lasting value.

Pest control is a category where customers search with very specific, urgent questions: "is pest control safe for pets," "why does my house smell like mice," "how to get rid of fall invaders." That demand fragments across thousands of variations. Without a system to capture it at scale, Anchorpest had no realistic path to outrank larger national competitors in its own backyard, and no clear picture of where its leads were actually coming from.

The Solution

RapidDev rebuilt Anchorpest's customer acquisition engine from the ground up, pairing a scalable content system with the foundational work needed to turn new traffic into booked jobs.

The team mapped the questions Anchorpest's customers were actually searching for and grouped them into nine high-intent topic areas: Safety for Pets, Mice & Rats FAQ, Smell FAQ, Ticks & Fleas, Termite & Mite, Pet Parasite Prevention, Mosquitoes, Fall Invaders, and DIY Methods. Using a programmatic content system, RapidDev launched 176+ targeted pages across these clusters between August 2025 and April 2026, covering both early research questions and ready-to-buy local searches.

In parallel, RapidDev cleaned up the foundation of the website: fixing broken links, resolving technical errors, and rewriting page descriptions to make every page more clickable in search results. The Areas We Serve and Pest Control pages were rewritten to remove outdated messaging and refreshed with the client's own team photography to build local trust at first glance.

To close the measurement gap, the team set up proper lead tracking so Anchorpest could finally see, in real numbers, how many phone calls and contact form submissions were coming from organic search each week, turning SEO from a guess into a reportable revenue channel.

Finally, RapidDev shut down the underperforming Google Ads campaign and replaced it with a Local Services Ads setup in Manchester, shifting paid spend to a channel where Anchorpest only pays for verified local leads, while organic search carried the volume.

The Result

The impact compounded month over month across an 8-month window:

  • Organic visits grew from ~750 to 7,790 per month, a 940% increase, making search Anchorpest's dominant source of new customers
  • 97% of all organic traffic now comes from the new content system, built entirely from zero in under 8 months. March 2026 delivered +44.5% month-over-month growth, the strongest single month on record - proof the system keeps compounding rather than plateauing
  • ~10% of organic visitors convert into a phone call or contact form submission, producing 21–25 new leads per week directly from search. Top pages reached real scale on their own: the Mice & Rats FAQ drove 2,588 visits in March 2026 alone, with the Pet Safety page contributing 1,490 visits and a peak week of 440
  • Built a repeatable customer acquisition engine that lowers cost-per-lead over time and gives Anchorpest a durable competitive moat in its service areas, independent of paid ads
