How to use FlutterFlow's built-in analytics features?

Getting Started

To use FlutterFlow's built-in analytics features, you need to have a valid FlutterFlow project. If you don't have one, you can create one from your FlutterFlow dashboard by clicking on the 'New Project' button. Once your project is set up, proceed with the following steps:

Step 1: Navigate to the Analytics page

To navigate to the analytics page, click on the 'Analytics' tab located on the top of your FlutterFlow dashboard. This tab is situated next to the 'Prototyping' tab.

Step 2: Overview of the Analytics Dashboard

Once you're on the Analytics page, you'll see the 'Dashboard'. This page gives you an overview of the activity in your application, showing graphs and statistics about users, sessions, and events. Take a moment to familiarize yourself with this interface, noting the various sections and what they represent.

Step 3: Setup Tracking Events

To set up tracking events or custom events, you will need to configure them within your application. To do this:

  • Go to your project's prototype designer by clicking on 'Prototype' at the top of your dashboard.
  • Navigate to the page and the specific widget you want to track. Click on the widget to open the settings panel on the right.
  • Scroll down to the 'Actions' section. From here, you can add an action to track with a tracking event by clicking on the 'Add Action' dropdown menu.
  • Choose 'Track Event' from the dropdown menu. You will see a pop-up where you can name your event and add parameters. Name your event and fill in the desired parameters, then click 'Save'.

Step 4: Viewing Tracked Events

To view your tracked events, go back to the 'Analytics' tab. Click on the 'Events' tab on the left side of the screen. This will display all your configured events, with data presented as graphs and charts. You can filter the events by various timeframes using the dropdown menu at the top of the page.

Step 5: Crash-Free Users

To check how many users are using your app without experiencing any crashes, click on the 'Crash Free Users' tab. This gives you an overview of your application's stability.

Step 6: Monitoring DAU and MAU

DAU (Daily Active Users) and MAU (Monthly Active Users) are key metrics to measure application usage. Click on the 'DAU & MAU' tab to see these numbers visually represented in a graph. The charts help you track the number of unique visitors to your application daily and monthly.

Step 7: Session Duration and Count

To find out how long users spend on your application and how many sessions they have, Navigate to the 'Session Duration & Count' tab. This gives you insight into user engagement and can guide you in improving user experience.

Using FlutterFlow's built-in analytics features allows you to track user activity and application stability. Making use of these insights allows you to continually improve your application, adding value for your users.
