How to manage a Bubble account

To manage a Bubble account, you mainly work inside your Bubble dashboard where you can handle your subscription plan, app access, team members, billing, and security settings. Everything is organized under your Bubble account’s “Settings” and each app’s own “Settings” panel.

 

What “managing a Bubble account” actually includes

 

Bubble management happens in two places: your Account Dashboard (global settings that affect your whole Bubble account) and your App Settings (controls for each specific app you build). Here’s what each area covers and how to use it.

  • Login & profile: In the top-right of Bubble, click your profile icon → Account. Here you can update your email, password, and personal details.
  • Billing & subscription: In the same Account panel, open “Billing.” This is where you change your main plan, add payment methods, download invoices, or update VAT info.
  • Two-factor authentication (2FA): Still in Account → Security, you can enable 2FA to better protect your apps.
  • Team & collaborators: If you’re on a Team plan or using app-specific collaborators, you manage them at the app level: open an app → Settings → Collaboration. You can invite teammates and set their permissions.
  • App plans: Each app has its own plan (Free, Starter, Growth, Team, etc.). Go to an app → Settings → Plans to upgrade or downgrade that specific app.
  • App data & privacy: Inside each app, you manage Data Types, Privacy Rules, and database structure. This is not part of your account settings but is often confused with it.
  • API management: Under each app → Settings → API you can toggle the Bubble Data API and Workflow API on/off and control authentication settings.

 

Practical workflow for real life

 

If you’re running production apps, treat account management as a maintenance routine.

  • Check billing monthly so you don’t hit usage limits.
  • Review collaborators if contractors or interns leave.
  • Back up your app manually with “Copy with workflows” before major changes.
  • Use separate development and live versions to avoid breaking production.
